The Chargers and Bills could not have started the the 2026 season on more contrasting notes.
Josh Allen has Buffalo humming at 2-0 behind his nine total touchdowns that helped them take down the Texans and Lions, both of whom were presumed contenders entering the season.
Justin Herbert and the Bolts have about as contrasting of results as you can get comparatively. Their first two weeks featured double-digit losses to both the Cardinals and Raiders, both of whom picked in the top-three of this year’s draft and were not expected to be anywhere near the same tier as the Chargers given preseason expectations.
The Chargers could shock the world and show the league they’re for real after a horrendous start. But in my opinion, showing a good amount of life on offense, even in a shootout loss, would still do wonders for their confidence as they head deeper into the intimidating gauntlet that remains on their schedule.
Right now, the Chargers fan base is hoping that age-old saying “Any given Sunday” hits hard and fast.
