Liam Gallagher
Liam Gallagher has claimed he knows what punishment Manchester City will face if they lose their appeal against the Premier League's guilty verdict. Piers Morgan was quick to question his source.
City were reportedly found guilty of 114 of the 115 charges brought against them for breaching the Premier League's financial rules between 2009 and 2018. Sanctions are yet to be confirmed, and the club are expected to appeal.
What Liam Gallagher Said About City's Punishment

The Oasis frontman, a lifelong City supporter, took to X to shoot down suggestions that his club could face the most severe punishments available.
"Just been told by someone in a very, very high position if we lose our appeal, which we won't, we'll be getting a FINE and TRANSFER BAN and that's it so all you desperate neurotic *****BUBBLES hush it up to ras MCFC LG x," he wrote.

When one follower asked whether he was allowed to share that information, Gallagher replied: "Just said it, keep up."
He did not say who had given him the information, and neither the Premier League nor City have commented on what sanctions the club could face.
Piers Morgan's Response

Morgan, an Arsenal fan, responded with a pointed reminder of Liam's track record with inside information. "That the same great source who told you Pep was staying?" he wrote.
It was a reference to May, when Liam claimed he had "just got off the phone" with Pep Guardiola, who had told him the opposite of reports that he was leaving. Guardiola announced his departure later that month, and Enzo Maresca was appointed as his successor.

Liam's claim would represent a far lighter outcome than many have predicted. A points deduction, relegation and even the stripping of past titles have all been discussed as possible sanctions.
