The Denver Broncos pulled off the wild comeback against the Los Angeles Rams, 30-26, on Sunday, highlighted by Bo Nix's game-winning touchdown.
With only 48 seconds left in the game, Nix leaped over the line for the one-yard score. The Broncos improved to 2-1, while the Rams fell to 1-2.
Denver clawed back from a 16-point deficit at halftime.
Aside from his heroic touchdown, Nix threw 17-of-34 for 186 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
The second-year quarterback also reached the end zone in an earlier play. The replay, however, determined that Nix was out of bounds, negating the two-yard touchdown.
That did not discourage Nix, who added another impressive performance in his fast-rising career.
After a lackadaisical start, the Broncos scored 30 points in the second half to stay afloat. They grabbed the lead, 23-19, in explosive fashion, with Talanoa Hufanga completing a 66-yard pick-six with 4:49 left in the contest.
More details to come.
