Liverpool will be looking ahead to the coming transfer windows with the hope that further moves can be made to strengthen the options available at Andoni Iraola's disposal.
The Reds have spent heavily over the past two summers, but with a change in the boardroom, with Julian Ward announced as the new sporting director, there could be a switch in approach.
The director inherits a Liverpool squad that has some clear areas to improve, with right-back, midfield, and right-wing all viewed as places of concern.
There will also be some interest in improving the squad depth and quality for Iraola, looking to build a long-term project that can get the Reds back to the very top.
So, with that said, here's a look at the latest Liverpool transfer news and rumors ahead of another busy day of action.
Trent Alexander-Arnold (Real Madrid)

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been linked with a return to Liverpool, following a difficult year since joining Real Madrid from the Reds last summer.
With that in mind, TeamTalk reports that both Liverpool and Arsenal have been showing interest in the right-back, with intermediaries contemplating a possible next move for the star.
However, it's claimed that Alexander-Arnold is not currently contemplating an exit from the Bernabeu, while he looks to cement a place in Jose Mourinho's side after a difficult start to the campaign.
Liverpool.com says: Considering Liverpool's issues at right-back, and Alexander-Arnold's own struggles, a reunion would make sense in the near future.
However, some bridges would likely need to be rebuilt between the former defender and the supporters before that can happen. On top of that, it will depend on his desire to return, and then whether it would be possible to agree a deal with Real Madrid that makes sense for all parties.
For the time being, a transfer seems unlikely, but it's early in the season, and things could change by next summer.
Micky van de Ven (Tottenham)

Liverpool is keeping a close eye on Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven as an option for the future in the transfer window, according to CaughtOffside.
It's claimed that the Reds are joined by rivals Manchester United in its interest, with the 25-year-old viewed as a potential long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk in the backline.
Any move has been described as difficult, however, after Van de Ven signed a contract last month with Spurs that will keep him at the club until 2031.
Liverpool.com says: With Liverpool facing a potential exit for Van Dijk next summer, if he doesn't sign a contract extension, some centre-backs will need to be on the radar.
As the squad has plenty of younger options, like Jeremy Jacquet and Giovanni Leoni, a move for a slightly more experienced star may make sense.
However, any move for Van de Ven seems challenging, due to his contract extension and the fee he could command as a result. It means the Reds may have to look elsewhere instead.
