Cody Gakpo is a fresh injury concern for Liverpool, after the forward asked to be substituted just 17 minutes into the Netherlands' clash with Serbia.

There is hope that Isak can recover in time to feature for Liverpool when it returns to action against Manchester City next month.

Having been out of action since the end of preseason, Federico Chiesa is closing in on a return soon, after Iraola said that the forward should be back in training during the international break.
The 28-year-old has been suffering from a lower back injury, but a return to training should see him back in contention once again to face Manchester City.

Iraola recently revealed that the plan was for a full return to training during the international break, having slowly built himself back up towards full fitness.
That could see the young defender feature against Man City in the squad, though Liverpool is likely to take a cautious approach when it comes to his full return being confirmed.

That means he could make a return in around two months, with November being earmarked as a possible timeline for him to feature again.
