Tottenham’s Andy Robertson has given an interesting response when asked about an independent Premier League panel finding Man City guilty of 114 breaches.
Man City have been found to have breached the Premier League’s financial regulations 114 times between 2009 and 2018, with the development sending shockwaves across world football.
According to reports, Tottenham are one of several Premier League clubs prepared to take Man City to court following the guilty verdict.
It has been suggested that the Lilywhites could sue the Manchester club for £200m due to Champions League revenue they have lost in that nine-year period due to City breaking the rules.

Tottenham star Andy Robertson gives sobering analysis of Man City’s charges
We are now waiting to see what sanctions the Premier League will throw at Man City, with a huge points deduction and even potential relegation on the cards.
There is also a debate over whether Man City’s trophies should be handed to the other clubs that missed out.
Andy Robertson lost multiple Premier League titles to City during his time at Liverpool, but the Tottenham left-back insists that he accepts that his Reds side were beaten on the pitch by Pep Guardiola’s men.
The 32-year-old said (via The Guardian): “For me, the players showed they were good enough on the pitch. I don’t know too much about the charges and stuff like that. But they had an incredible team, one that I loved battling against. I don’t think when it comes to these things that players are ever to blame. That’s all I can focus on.”
Harry Redknapp warns against retrospective title decisions
Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp confessed that things could have been very different for his own Spurs side had they not missed two Champions League qualifications due to City breaking the rules.
However, the former Tottenham boss warned against retrospective changes to tables and trophies, suggesting that it would open up a can of worms that would severely damage the Premier League brand.
The 79-year-old said: “Just imagine the can of worms we would be opening if the suits were to start going back and altering league tables which have long been finalised. Where do you start and where do you draw the line? Not only are the clubs at the top impacted by titles, Champions League places and huge revenue missed out on — but those at the bottom will all have claims too.
“Clubs who lost to City over the season and were relegated by the odd few points will start arguing their case if other results or points tallies are retrospectively changed. Even though they have won a huge victory, the whole process has been damaging for the Premier League. But opening up all those previous seasons would do incredible damage to a league which is the envy of the world.”
