Premier League champions Arsenal will hope to bounce back from their shock 3-0 defeat against Brighton and Hove Albion when they face Leeds United on October 10.

Mikel Arteta’s side had started the season flawlessly, winning their first four matches in the league, but defeat at The Amex allowed Manchester City to leapfrog them into top spot.

The Gunners will be strong favourites to beat Leeds, but Daniel Farke’s side have also started the new campaign strongly and could pose a difficult obstacle for the reigning champions.

Ahead of that game, it is emerging that Arsenal have been joined by one of their fiercest rivals in the battle to sign a Bundesliga star.

As per TEAMtalk, both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Bayer Leverkusen star Ibrahim Maza.

The report suggests that the two north London sides are both showing interest in the 20-year-old, who can play as an attacking midfielder of as a winger on either flank.

Maza joined Leverkusen from fellow German side Hertha Berlin in 2025 and has since played 49 times for his current side in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing nine assists.

The attacker’s impressive displays have attracted interest from both Arsenal and Spurs, the report suggests, with both London sides stepping up their pursuits of the player.

Maza’s contract with Leverkusen is set to run until the end of the 2029/30 campaign, but it appears that the Bundesliga outfit could face a battle to keep hold of the player beyond next summer’s transfer window.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Aston Villa are all also said to be interested in the forward, who has featured five times so far this term.
