Arsenal Injury News And Return Dates: Updates On Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz&4 Others

**Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard suffered an ankle injury playing for Norway against Portugal on Sunday night.**

The 27-year-old was on the receiving end of a late challenge from Bernardo Silva, and when asked whether he could miss Norway’s next fixture against Wales on Thursday, Odegaard said:

“I hope not. But I got a knock on my ankle there, so it probably won’t be good tonight.”

There is no indication at this stage that Odegaard has suffered a major injury, but Arsenal’s medical team will be keeping a close eye on his situation.

**Expected Return Date – Saturday 10th October vs Leeds (h)**

The forward was [**forced off with a hamstring injury**](https://goonernews.com/blog/phew-thank-god-there-is-hope-i-hate-internationals-arsenal-fans-react-to-injury-update/) during Germany’s 1-1 draw against the Netherlands on Thursday.

Havertz was absent for the subsequent 1-0 defeat to Greece, and he is unlikely to be available for Arsenal’s first match after the international break.

**Expected Return Date – Unknown**

Declan Rice

-----------

The midfielder pulled out of international duty as he continues to manage nerve pain in his hamstring, which has plagued him for well over six months.

Rice could play through the pain barrier if needed, and he should be ready to return early next month.

The Spaniard was close to returning for the 3-0 defeat to Brighton earlier this month, and he should be in contention to face Leeds.

The right-back sustained a groin injury in the first half of the 2-0 win over Sunderland. He subsequently missed the Brighton game and was unable to go on international duty with England.
