England have confirmed that Arsenal defender Ezri Konsa is following an individual training programme in the build-up to the Nations League match vs Czechia. The update is another injury concern for the Gunners over the international break.

‌

Konsa played the full 90 minutes of the Three Lions’ 3-2 Nations League defeat against world champions Spain on Saturday. Now, it seems that he is a doubt for the next match.

‌

Thomas Tuchel ’s side are stepping up their preparations at Tottenham Hotspur’s training ground ahead of making the journey to Czechia for Tuesday night’s match. Giving an update on their official X account, England said: “Ezri Konsa and Nico O'Reilly are following their own individual programmes at Tottenham Hotspur's training ground this morning.

‌

“All other 22 players are involved in group training ahead of the squad departing for Prague this afternoon.”

It’s a situation that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will be keeping a close eye on. The summer signing has been a regular for the Gunners this season, starting the last four matches in all competitions alongside Gabriel Magalhães.

Konsa is not the only injury concern to emerge from the international break for Arteta. Club captain Martin Odegaard suffered a knock on the ankle during Norway’s defeat against Portugal on Sunday.

The midfielder was unhappy with the tackle on hi by former Manchester City man Bernardo Silva . "It doesn't belong on a football field," he told Norwegian outlet TV2 after the game. "It's a shame that people do that."

Giving an update on the injury, he said: "I got a knock on my ankle there, so it probably won't be good tonight."

In another injury worry, midfielder Declan Rice pulled out of the England squad for the current international break. As reported by football.london , his withdrawal is due to concerns over load management.

Despite not being part of the squad, Rice was present at Wembley to support his England teammates in the defeat against Spain.
