Dak Prescott took responsibility after the Dallas Cowboys suffered a painful 34-31 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL‘s Brazil game.
Dallas erased an 11-point deficit and took a late lead before Baltimore won on Tyler Loop’s 56-yard field goal. Prescott completed 25 of 40 passes for 276 yards and one touchdown. However, the Cowboys failed to finish several key opportunities near the goal line.
“Yeah, frustrated. Frustrated as hell. Excuse me. Embarrassed,” Prescott told reporters after the game.
“We know call ourselves best offense, you know, GOTTI, and we get down there in the one-yard line and don’t put it in. It just sucks. Not a lot of words or full explanation of it.”

Prescott refused to blame Dallas’ defense for the late collapse.
“Defense shouldn’t even have been in that position,” Prescott said. “Those guys are over there saying it’s on us. Absolutely not.
“We’ve got to put that game away. Period.”
The Cowboys had several chances to secure the victory before Baltimore’s final possession. Dallas also committed a costly fumble and missed a late field-goal attempt.

Prescott was asked about a late throw that could have changed the outcome. He initially declined to discuss the play in which George Pickens was open, as he was emotionally frustrated.
“I was throwing it away. I don’t want to get into all that,” Prescott said. “Definitely not right now. Maybe in the week. Still fresh, and I’m just upset. I don’t want to get into it.”

After confirming he had seen the replay, Prescott acknowledged he could have handled the situation differently.
“Yeah, he probably was,” Prescott said. “I probably should have just sat on it a little bit longer.”
“Sat on, you know, sank on my back foot and just put it on that front pylon.”
The loss leaves Dallas at 1-2 after three games. Prescott has thrown for 730 yards, seven touchdowns and one interception this season. The Cowboys have shown they can produce explosive offensive stretches. Their Week 2 win over Washington featured 37 points and four Prescott touchdown passes.

However, Sunday’s loss exposed a different issue: finishing games when opportunities are available. Dallas rallied twice in the fourth quarter but could not prevent Baltimore from getting into field-goal range.
For Prescott and the Cowboys, the immediate challenge is converting those late opportunities into wins. Their next test comes against the Houston Texans.
