Kavuma-McQueen cut in from the right flank and let fly with an impressive strike, in a fashion now familiar to Blues fans after his excellent start to life at PO4
The 17-year-old’s goal was one of a number of efforts from him in a standout showing in which he ‘carried a threat throughout the first half’, according to the match report published by England.
Kavuma-McQueen was withdrawn for Newcastle’s Michael Mills with 13 minutes left, as Will Antwi’s side progressed with a game to spare following an opening 3-2 victory over Colombia.
The attacking ace has already picked up plenty of plaudits in his formative career, particularly after seven impressive outings for John Mousinho’s men this term.
And supporters have taken to X, formerly Twitter, to offer the Londoner more accolades after his latest display.
‘We need to show him a pathway into the (Chelsea) team,’ said @Matangenda. ‘We have lost so many good talents who went on or are going on to be world class, I’d really like to see a Cobham player really reach that level while still at Chelsea.

‘Proper gem,’ added @49shim. ‘Hopefully we don’t sell him off for profit.’
@BArmy242824 is certainly expecting big things for the player, as they added: ‘Ryan Kavuma-McQueen is a future Ballon d’Or winner.’
Kavuma-McQueen was not the only Pompey player making an international mark at the weekend.
New boy Eoin Kenny and striker Makenzie Kirk were both part of the Northern Ireland under-21 side, who cruised to a 4-0 win over Malta in their Euro qualifier.
Mackenzie, who’s on loan at Barnsley, captained Tommy Wright’s side, with Kenny also starting the game at the Centenary Stadium in Ta’Qali.
Meanwhile, Adrian Segecic played 70 minutes for Croatia’s under-21s, as they picked up a 3-1 victory over Hungary.
Ebou Adams featured for The Gambia in their win over Somalia on Friday, in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. Iyad Mohamed didn’t feature for Comoros as they lost to Cameroon last Thursday.
Terry Devlin was an unused sub as Northern Ireland defeated Georgia 1-0 on Friday, with Michael O’Neill’s men meeting Hungary this evening.
