The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced two roster moves ahead of the team’s Week 3 Monday night game against the Chicago Bears. Here’s an overview:

It was previously reported that Ertz was expected to be available for this game. The Eagles brought the 35-year-old veteran back to Philly to help instantly fill in for the injured Dallas Goedert, who will not be playing against the Bears.
Just how many snaps will Ertz play? That much remains to be seen. It’s not easy to imagine he’ll be on the field for a normal TE1 workload since he’s playing in his first real game since getting hurt last year and he’s presumably still catching up on the Eagles’ playbook. But he could see some targets, especially since he’s played with Jalen Hurts in the past.
The Eagles have Johnny Mundt and E.J. Jenkins behind Ertz.
Campbell is likely being elevated for special teams purposes but making him active does also provide extra depth at off-ball linebacker.
Monday will mark Campbell’s first regular season action in an Eagles uniform. And his first regular season snaps of any kind since he suited up for the Tennessee Titans in 2023.
For the second week in a row, the Eagles are entering a game with just 52 players on the active roster.
