Case Keenum balled out in his first game in three years as he led the Chicago Bears to an incredible 27-7 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night.
Keenum has been playing in the NFL since 2012, going through his second year with the Bears. He has been a journeyman throughout his career, representing eight different teams. Of those teams, seven got to see him as the starting quarterback.
Keenum didn't play in 2024 and 2025, recovering from injury with the Houston Texans then being the Bears' third-string quarterback. This year, he elevated to the starting role following Caleb Williams' injury.
Keenum had a remarkable performance in his first game since 2023. He completed 24 out of 34 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns while rushing four times for six yards and a touchdown. His efforts paved the way for Chicago to get the win, making NFL history in the process, per reporter Ari Meirov.
“Case Keenum has won a game as the starting QB for 7 different NFL teams: Bears, Browns, Commanders, Broncos, Vikings, Rams, Texans. He joins Ryan Fitzpatrick as the only QBs in NFL history to accomplish that,” Meirov wrote.
How Case Keenum, Bears played against Eagles
Case Keenum can certainly be proud of this performance. The Bears are grateful amid Caleb Williams' absence, taking down the Eagles in convincing fashion.
Chicago controlled most of the game from start to finish. They shut down Philadelphia's attack after conceding a touchdown in the second quarter, holding them scoreless for the entire second half.
D'Andre Swift had a decent night in the run game, racking up 20 rushes for 84 yards. Kalif Raymond shined among receivers with six catches for 90 yards and a touchdown. Luther Burden III came next with seven receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown, while Rome Odunze caught three passes for 44 yards.
The Bears will look forward to their next matchup, remaining at home. They host the New York Jets in Week 4 as kickoff commences on Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. ET.
