It has only taken one game for Jeremy Jacquet to show the French fans and media what the Liverpool fans have already gleaned from his early days at Anfield.
The defender, who officially joined the Reds this summer after pre-agreeing a move from Rennes to Merseyside for a $79.4 million, has quickly settled into life in the Premier League and shown his quality.
That has led to his first senior France call-up during the international break, giving Jacquet an opportunity to show new boss Zinedine Zidane what he can bring to the team now, and in the future.
While he missed out in the first game of the international break, a 1-0 win for Les Bleus over Turkiye, he was handed his full debut in a clash against Belgium.
Paired with Chelsea's Maxence Lacroix, the centre-back looked comfortable and continued to show the fine form that he has displayed in his short time with Liverpool so far.
With his composed performance, Jacquet helped France keep a clean sheet, as a late Michael Olise finish sealed all three points for the side in the UEFA Nations League.
While plenty of focus could be placed elsewhere, the French media were particularly focused on the Liverpool star, who was roundly applauded for his first display for the senior team.
L'Equipe gave Jacquet an eight out of ten rating, which is incredibly high for the publication, stating that he had a "very promising debut" that could bring even more impressive performances in the future.

GFFN was also full of praise, stating during the second-half of the game: "A word on Jeremy Jacquet. The Liverpool centre-back has picked up where he left off on Merseyside with a determined display of defensive domination. He simply belongs at the highest level."
In its match ratings, FootMercato gave Jacquet a seven out of ten, and claimed: "The young Liverpool center-back made his debut in the French backline tonight. The Bondy native showed no signs of nerves and delivered a more than solid performance.
"Dominant in the box, he let nothing through. He made no mistakes and displayed impressive composure considering his lack of experience with the French national team.
"He was very strong in duels, not hesitating to take on De Ketelaere and put his body on the line, all without committing any fouls or errors. One of the good news stories of the evening for Les Bleus."
It sums up a successful first outing for Jacquet, who will be hoping that it is the first of many, after a few months that have seen him reach the highest level.
While it remains to be seen whether he can keep performing at that standard, or even improve on it, there is promise there that he could be among the best in the world.
