Arsenal and adidas have officially unveiled the new Arsenal x adidas SPZL collection for 2026-27, bringing the distinctive Spezial aesthetic to the North London club.
Released on 29 September 2026, the Arsenal SPZL F.C. collection combines football heritage, classic terrace culture and adidas archive-inspired styling. The range includes a retro football shirt, tracksuit pieces, polo and other lifestyle items, with dark navy, yellow and red forming the core colour palette.
Arsenal x adidas SPZL 2026-27 Shirt
The standout piece is undoubtedly the Arsenal SPZL football shirt, which takes considerable inspiration from the oversized football shirts and leisurewear of the 1990s.

A deep navy base is combined with yellow piping and adidas Three Stripes running across the shoulders and sleeves. Red detailing around the V-neck adds another recognisable Arsenal colour to the design.

Rather than using a conventional performance-kit construction, adidas has given the shirt a distinctly retro appearance. The material features an all-over tonal jacquard pattern made up of repeating diagonal SPZL graphics, while the loose, oversized cut further reinforces its 1990s influence.
Across the chest is a large white SPZL graphic positioned in the traditional sponsor area. Above it sits Arsenal’s famous cannon in red, alongside a rectangular adidas SPEZIAL F.C. badge featuring the Trefoil.

It creates something that sits somewhere between a vintage Arsenal football shirt and classic adidas terrace wear rather than looking like another conventional replica kit.
Heritage Arsenal Details
One of the strongest elements of the collection is the decision to keep the branding relatively traditional.
The simplified red Arsenal cannon works particularly well against the dark navy background, while the adidas Spezial badge has the appearance of an old woven football label.
Yellow detailing provides the contrast, particularly across the shoulders of the shirt, and gives the collection a distinctly retro adidas feel without simply recreating a previous Arsenal kit.
The accompanying campaign imagery at the Emirates Stadium further emphasises the connection between Arsenal, football culture and adidas Spezial.
Arsenal SPZL Track Top
The Arsenal SPZL track top follows the same navy, yellow and red colour scheme.
It has a clean zip-front construction with yellow piping running from the collar across the shoulders, together with the red Arsenal cannon and adidas Spezial badge on the chest.

The back is considerably more understated, with tonal SPZL detailing and additional branding positioned towards the neck.

Combined with the matching trousers, it gives the Arsenal x SPZL range the sort of classic tracksuit aesthetic closely associated with adidas football and terrace clothing.
adidas Spezial Meets Arsenal
SPZL is the creation of adidas curator Gary Aspden, with the wider Spezial line built around lesser-known pieces from the adidas archive and their reinterpretation for modern wear. adidas describes SPZL F.C. as clothing designed around both matchdays and the streets, drawing heavily on football culture.
That approach is particularly evident with Arsenal.
Rather than producing another modern training or fashion collection, adidas has leaned into the relationship between football shirts, trainers and British terrace culture. The result feels deliberately nostalgic while remaining a completely new Arsenal range.
Arsenal x adidas SPZL 2026-27 Release
The Arsenal x adidas SPZL F.C. collection launched on 29 September 2026, with the range encompassing clothing and footwear.
For Arsenal shirt collectors, the SPZL jersey is likely to be the most interesting piece. It isn’t an Arsenal match kit, but its combination of the cannon crest, oversized 1990s silhouette, jacquard fabric and unusual SPZL sponsor-style branding gives it a very different identity from the club’s standard 2026-27 shirts.
It is another example of adidas increasingly exploring its extensive football archive for modern lifestyle releases – and the Arsenal SPZL collection is firmly aimed at supporters who appreciate the crossover between classic football shirts and traditional terrace fashion.
