England star Nico O'Reilly has been ruled out of Tuesday's game against Czechia through injury - but Ezri Konsa is set to be available. Both players missed training on Monday ahead of flying to Prague for the Nations League encounter.

O'Reilly, 21, played the entirety of England's 3-2 defeat at home to Spain on Saturday and remains Thomas Tuchel's first-choice left-back. But the Manchester City defender - who did make the journey - has been replaced in England's matchday squad by Liverpool forward Rio Ngumoha, who missed the clash with Spain.

Konsa, on the other hand, has been included in Tuesday's squad and could keep his place at centre-back. The 28-year-old has been largely ever present under Tuchel, featuring in every game at the World Cup over the summer as well as for Arsenal since leaving Aston Villa in a deal worth up to £55million during the summer transfer window.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Tuchel was unsure whether both Konsa and O'Reilly would be available to face Czechia. "It was because of minor issues," the England manager confirmed. "But there are still issues."

Speaking on Monday, Tuchel added: "Today in the morning we had a light training for the guys who started the game. The very last checks will be made tomorrow morning. If the doctors and physios give thumbs up then we’re good to go.

"One day longer would really make a difference. I feel the players who were on the pitch today all really want to play and are up for it."

Both Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham are expected to start, as the Three Lions bid to get their Nations League campaign up and running. Options to replace O'Reilly at left-back include Lewis Hall and Myles Lewis-Skelly.

Despite his side's need for victory, Tuchel has played down claims that it's a 'must-win' game. "It is a bit early in the group for 'must-win'," the German stated.

"We respect the quality of the opposition. I feel I always need a result, no matter where. Especially after defeat, even if this is the way to go forward, even then you just need it for yourself, and to show straight away a reaction. The match tomorrow has the highest priority."

England will next travel to Croatia for their third game this Saturday before hosting Czechia at Wembley next Tuesday.
