Celtic player Benjamin Nygren was pleased with his performance while standing in for injured Liverpool striker Alexander Isak.

The forward was part of the starting line-up for Sweden's Nations League match against Poland and scored his fourth goal for his country.

Nygren played alongside Arsenal's Viktor Gyokeres and helped Sweden maintain their 100 per cent record in the competition.

Nygren said: "There was high demand from my family for tickets and I was able to get as many as I could for them.

"I enjoyed playing with Viktor Gyokeres up front. It was good, but it can always be better.

Nygren was pleased with his goal, saying he didn't have time to think about it and just reacted and scored.

He is hopeful for more starts for Sweden, believing his good performance has increased his chances.

He said: "Now we are aiming to win the next two games against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Romania and continue our good start."

Isak, who was unable to play due to a knock, is valued at £125 million by Liverpool, but Nygren felt confident filling in for him.
