When the Eagles faced the Bears in 2025, they gave up 281 rushing yards in a Black Friday loss.
The Eagles had more success against the Chicago rushing attack on Monday night, but the result wasn’t any better. Bears third-string quarterback Case Keenum was never sacked and rarely pressured while going 24-of-34 for 247 yards and two touchdowns in his first start since the 2023 season.
Missed tackles were an issue somewhat obscured by wins in the first two weeks of the season and that remained a problem for a defense that has yet to force a turnover this season. Add that to breakdowns in coverage that led to big plays like a Kalif Raymond touchdown catch and there’s a lot for the unit to work on.
Defensive back Cooper DeJean chalked that Raymond touchdown up to “miscommunication” and said the defense needs to focus on cleaning that up first.

Week 4 brings a date with the Rams on a short week, so that work will have to begin right away for the Eagles to put themselves on better footing in the future.
