Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard is unlikely to feature in Norway's training session before the game against Wales, as per TV2. The report comes after Odegaard received treatment following a nasty late tackle from Bernardo Silva during the UEFA Nations League clash against Portugal on Sunday.

Silva dismissed the challenge by stating it is just part of football, but Odegaard did not hold himself back from criticising the Real Madrid midfielder. The Arsenal star firmly believes such a tackle has no place in football.

Odegaard was seen limping onto the Norway team bus after the 2-1 loss to Portugal. And now, according to reports, the midfielder will miss Tuesday's training session. It has been claimed that Odegaard's ankle is still very painful, which makes him a doubt for the game against Wales on Thursday.

Norway head coach Stale Solbakken has confirmed that the national team is in constant communication with Arsenal about Odegaard's situation. Reports are being sent back to the Gunners on his status as he continues to recover from the knock.

Solbakken told reporters:

"The medical sector reports what has happened, and now it is the case that every metre you run here, and all training and everything you have done, is sent to the club.

"The medical contact is almost continuous. It’s standard procedure. I don’t interfere with that. There are four or five people for that, so they have to manage that.”

After the clash against Wales, Norway have another game to play during the ongoing international break. They face Portugal in Porto on Sunday.

Arsenal face injury troubles during international break

Martin Odegaard isn't the only Arsenal player sweating over his fitness during this international break. Kai Havertz has already returned to the club with a suspected hamstring injury he picked up during Germany's 1-1 draw against Netherlands last week.

The Gunners remain hopeful that Havertz will be ready to play as soon as the international break ends, but he is still being closely monitored. Additionally, England also confirmed that Ezri Konsa missed their final group training session on Monday. However, the centre-back is not ruled out of the game against Czech Republic on Tuesday after following his individual training programme.

Arsenal return to action in the Premier League on October 10, when they host Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium. Mikel Arteta's men need a win after their crushing defeat against Brighton before the international break cost them their top spot in the table.
