Bears' T.J. Edwards reveals what he heard listening to Eagles huddle moments before interception image
Case Keenum was the headliner, but the Bears' defense was just as terrific in a surprisingly dominant Week 3 win over the Eagles.
Chicago sacked Jalen Hurts twice, allowed just 248 yards of offense and two third-down conversions, and most importantly, picked off two passes in its 27-7 victory. One of those interceptions may have come from some heads-up listening.
Linebacker T.J. Edwards was seen listening in on the Eagles' huddle right before he grabbed a pass from Hurts, telling reporters what he heard postgame.
Here's what Edwards said about the Eagles' huddle that led to his interception.

Bears' T.J. Edwards reveals what he heard inside Eagles huddle before INT
In the third quarter on Monday night, moments before Philadelphia attempted a 4th & 5, Edwards could be seen leaning in toward an Eagles huddle led by Hurts alongside center Cam Jurgens and running back Saquon Barkley.
Moments later, Hurts had a rough interception when he was looking for Devonta Smith, as Edwards was ready for the pass and took it easily.

It also may have aided the linebacker that he played for Philadelphia from 2019-22, though he didn't quite overlap with defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, who was hired in 2024.
Postgame, Edwards said he didn't hear anything familiar in the huddle, though his interception suggested otherwise.
"I was like, 'Maybe I'll hear some familiar stuff,' and like they must have changed language up because I had no idea what they were talking about," Edwards said, per Kevin Fishbain.
Regardless, Edwards' pick helped seal the Bears' thorough win, improving to 2-1 behind Keenum's excellence as the team moves forward without Caleb Williams for the time being.
