A Taylor Swift music video is never complete without Easter eggs. When the pop superstar debuted the “Patient Zero” music video at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 27, fans were treated to a treasure trove of references and celebrity cameos. One of the familiar faces that popped up was Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, who was joined by his wife, Kelly Stafford.

The two weren’t at the VMAs – the Rams were playing the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, and the NFL star’s wife and four daughters were there to support him – but their surprise appearance in the music video was a delight for American football fans.
