Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has come in for heavy criticism from NFL fans after allegedly yelling an insult at Chicago Bears linebacker D'Marco Jackson during Monday's defeat at Soldier Field.
Sirianni, 45, had been left furious after Jackson delivered a hard sideline hit on Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts as he was heading out of bounds during the second quarter, triggering an unnecessary roughness penalty and forcing Hurts into the medical tent to be evaluated for a concussion.
It proved to be just one of several key moments that sank Philadelphia's hopes against the Bears in a blowout 27-7 loss on Monday Night Football, as Chicago went on to pick off Andy Dalton after he briefly replaced Hurts, while an avoidable delay in the blue medical tent cost the Eagles a touchdown.
Off the back of this, Sirianni reached boiling point, launching into a visible rage, caught clearly by broadcast cameras as he shouted and pointed towards somebody off-camera.
Fans were quick to debate just what Sirianni said and who he was saying it to, with the majority eventually concluding that he had told Jackson, "You're a p----", in retaliation for the Bears linebacker sidelining Hurts.
"I'm not a lip reader, but I think I know what Nick Sirianni said here," wrote reporter Chuck Ross on X alongside footage of the Eagles head coach launching into his verbal tirade.

"Nick Sirianni calling a Bears player a Pu**y on live television. Wild," posted former NFL quarterback Kurt Benkert alongside a laughing emoji, having opted to see the humorous side of Sirianni's verbal attack.
Others, however, weren't quite as understanding and accepting of Sirianni's heat-of-the-moment actions, with several making their feelings towards the Super Bowl LIX champion very clear.
"He's way too emotional," one person said in response to Benkert's post. "He's such a baby," commented another, while a third wrote, "Sirianni is the biggest complainer ever. It was a clean hit."
Following the game, Sirianni expressed remorse for the viral moment, admitting he let his emotions get the better of him and that he has to "learn from that".

"Obviously, you want to always fight for your players, and protect your players. I always come away when I have a moment like that with remorse of, 'Man, I shouldn't have let my emotions get the best of me,'" Sirianni said.
"Those guys are out there trying to make a play. It was close on the sideline... I know nobody's trying to hurt anybody out there. The emotion of the game probably got the better of me today, and I have to learn from that."
Sirianni had also taken issue with the lack of information he was receiving about Hurts' status after his quarterback was removed from the field, claiming he received "nothing".
"They need to go through their process there," Sirianni added. "You think about maybe calling a timeout in a situation like that ... but if you call a timeout, I have no idea what's going on and when he's going to come out."
