The first month of the 2026 NFL season is in the books and we’re entering Week 4 with only four winless teams around the league. While sellers won’t emerge until much closer to the NFL trade deadline (Tuesday, Nov. 10), it’s always fun to look at potential NFL trade candidates and where we’d like them to land.
Let’s dive into our list of NFL trades we’d like to see in October.
Marvin Harrison Jr. Traded to Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are 0-3 entering October and have already experienced life without Nico Collins (hamstring). While the standout wide receiver is expected to return very soon, the acquisition of Kayshon Boutte (79 yards in three games) hasn’t necessarily worked out. Enter a trade for Arizona Cardinals receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
A potential swap of wideouts, with Houston also sending a 2028 fourth-round pick to Arizona, could work out for both teams. The Cardinals offense can keep Michael Wilson in his role as the primary receiving threat, with Boutte heading out west to serve as a deep option for Jacoby Brissett. Meanwhile, Harrison Jr. gets a fresh start in Houston and he’ll reunite with his Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud. Playing opposite of Collins while being around head coach DeMeco Ryans could help turn MHJ’s career around.

Chop Robinson Gets Fresh Start

On the one hand, it might not make sense for a rebuilding Miami Dolphins team to trade 23-year-old edge rusher Chop Robinson less than three years after he was taken with the 21st overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. However, the regime that drafted him is long gone and Robinson has been pretty unproductive in his career. It would make some sense for Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan to make a move, bringing in future draft capital and giving his own guys more snaps.
One intriguing possibility would be a deal with the Seattle Seahawks. Zach Charbonnet is closing in on a return and with Jadarian Price now healthy, Emanuel Wilson could become expendable. He is just a few weeks removed from a 92-yard performance (4.4 yards per carry) and he put up 998 rushing yards from 2024-25 with the Green Bay Packers when Sullivan and Jeff Hafley were there. In addition, Seattle could send a 2028 fourth-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick. It would be a buy low on a pass rusher who Mike Macdonald could potentially unlock.

Cleveland Browns Ship Off Jerry Jeudy to LA Rams

The Los Angeles Rams are hoping that All-Pro wide receiver Puka Nacua (groin) returns from his groin injury in Week 4, but ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported this past Sunday that surgery is “not entirely off the table” for him. It might be worthwhile for Los Angeles to find an insurance plan.
Jerry Jeudy has no future with the Cleveland Browns, as evidenced by the fact he’s played only 57 percent of the team’s offensive snaps through three games. Trading him is the best option. It would be a short-term addition for Los Angeles, since Jeudy can be a post-June 1 release in 2027 for cap savings. The Rams get some added depth at wide receiver while Cleveland gets its 2028 seventh-round pick back from Los Angeles.
Green Bay Packers Take a Chance on Walker Little

We are less than two years fully removed from the Jacksonville Jaguars signing Walker Little to a three-year, $45 million contract extension to be their left tackle of the future. He now finds himself backing up Anton Harrison and Cole Van Lanen. It might be a rare instance of a backup offensive tackle with ample starting experience who the Green Bay Packers could pursue.
Green Bay has to figure something out. Zach Bako-Bewele (torn patellar tendon) is out for the season, and he might never return to his top form. Meanwhile, 2025 second-round pick Anthony Belton has been a massive disappointment both at guard and tackle. Little isn’t particularly good, but he’s better than what Green Bay has right now. In exchange, Jacksonville picks up a fourth-round pick from the Packers and cornerback Carrington Valentine for depth in the secondary.

Joey Porter Jr. Heads to Dallas Cowboys

What happened in Brazil should be one of the proverbial final straws that forces Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys front office to make a move at cornerback. It also certainly helps that Dallas has a history of swinging deals like this with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Even without Porter, the Steelers have one of the league’s better defenses. Dallas is also a bit desperate and might be willing to pay a bit more to get a No. 1 cornerback, especially if the Detroit Lions and New York Giants are also potentially in the mix. Porter can get the long-term money he wants from the Cowboys, defensive coordinator Christian Parker gets a top defensive back to pair with safety Caleb Downs, and the Steelers pick up a 2027 second-round pick and a 2028 third-round pick.
