Bruno Guimarães got on the scoresheet as Brazil came from behind to defeat Australia 4-2 in a friendly at the Suncorp Stadium in Queensland.
It was the second meeting between the Seleção[](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brazil_national_football_team#cite_note-1) and the Socceroos in four days as the five-time World Cup champions bounced back from a dramatic 1-1 draw that saw Rayan rescue his side with a late equaliser in stoppage time.
Arsenal's summer signing Guimarães was integral in Brazil sealing the victory as he found the back of the net to add to his goal tally for the season and showing that his strengths go beyond his brilliance in midfield.
Guimarães started for Brazil in their victory in Australia and played 83 minutes of the win as he scored his nation's third goal as well as playing a crucial part throughout the match.
With the visitors 2-1 down, the midfielder played a ball into Danilo, who was brought down in the box to win a penalty that Raphinha converted to level the score at half-time.
Arsenal's number 39 then put Brazil in front as he raced into the middle of Australia's area to convert into the net from Endrick's low cross. Seleção put the seal on victory from 12 yards once again when Vinícius Júnior scored from the spot.
The winger was not initially expected to take the penalty with Guimarães identified as Brazil's primary taker when Raphinha is not on the pitch, but he opted to hand the ball to his compatriot in an attempt to help him boost is confidence, as confirmed by the winger after the game.
