Christian Nørgaard has returned to first-team training with Everton during the international break as David Moyes prepares for the resumption of the Premier League season.
The midfielder was pictured working with his teammates at Finch Farm this week after being unavailable for Everton’s recent matches.
Nørgaard joined Everton from Arsenal for £7m during the summer but has so far had limited opportunities following his move to Merseyside.

The Liverpool Echo reported on Nørgaard’s return, with the 32-year-old now involved at Finch Farm as Everton work through the international break.
There has been little public detail surrounding his absence and Everton haven’t confirmed when he will be ready to return to competitive action. His presence in training is nevertheless encouraging with Moyes currently without a sizeable group of players who are away with their countries.
Nørgaard was brought in during the summer to add experience and another option in central midfield, an area in which Everton have been operating with relatively little room for manoeuvre.
Merlin Röhl is another player Moyes will hope to have available following the break. The German has also been working his way back, having missed recent matches, and we have previously looked at where Röhl could fit into Moyes’ plans.
For Nørgaard, there is still no confirmed date for a return to the matchday squad. Getting back onto the training pitches with his teammates is a useful step towards it.
