Liverpool has a few months to go before it can consider signing new players for the team moving forward, but there are plans being put in place for when the transfer window opens again.
The Reds are fresh from another summer of expensive outlays, with Bradley Barcola's deal worth over $160 million being the standout signing made during a busy market.
Despite the extensive spending, Liverpool is still looking at some key areas to improve, with the midfield, right-back, and right-wing all being flagged as potential problems for the future. So, with that said, here's a look at the latest Liverpool transfer news ahead of another busy day of action.

Liverpool is showing interest in Uruguayan youngster Nicolas Scotti, according to a report from ESPN Brasil. The 16-year-old is already playing senior soccer for Defensor, featuring on the right wing as a promising option for the future.
After emerging on the scene, the wonderkid has been linked with a move, with the Reds believed to be one of the parties tracking a deal for when he turns 18.
A release clause is in his contract, worth around $8 million, while the report adds that a deal below that could be agreed in the weeks and months ahead.
Liverpool.com says: Liverpool has been ramping up its youth recruitment in recent years, so it's not surprise to see a player like Scotti being linked.
The Reds have consistently looked to beat rivals to the next up-and-coming star, so a switch for Scotti before he truly makes a name for himself could seal an impressive move.
Alex Scott (Bournemouth)

Bournemouth is pushing to agree a deal with Alex Scott over a new contract, amid links with a switch to Liverpool and Chelsea in the market.
That's according to TeamTalk, which claims that the Cherries want to tie the midfielder down to an extended deal, as he recently entered the final two years of his current option.
While that could spell the end of a move away, should he agree to the contract, it's added that Bournemouth is open to including a release clause to convince the star to stay, with the pathway there for a future exit.
It's unclear how much that could be, but it may give interested parties a clear amount that is required to land Scott in the coming transfer windows.
Liverpool.com says: Liverpool may be watching intently to see the developments of Scott at Bournemouth, considering the side's midfield imbalance.
Having played under Iraola plenty during his time with the Cherries, it's clear that he could offer lots of quality in the tactical framework, which may help the rest of the team settle with the new style of play.
That will all depend on the price, considering Liverpool's recently outlay in the transfer market, with a fresh contract and release clause likely to tell the Reds exactly what is needed to sign Scott.
