Manchester City have been found guilty on all financial charges, a statement by the Premier League has confirmed. Speculation has since run wild over the potential punishments the Citizens could face.
The club are expected to appeal the decision after reaffirming their innocence. However, should the charges stick, then potential sanctions discussed include large fines, point deductions, relegation and even the stripping of titles.
The charges relate to alleged wrongdoing in a nine-year period from 2009 to 2018. Man City won the Premier League three times in that spell, meaning Liverpool (2013-14) and Man Utd (2011-12 and 2017-18) could be retrospectively recognised as the winners.
Potential Liverpool Premier League Winners

So in a world where Man City are stripped of all trophies won in that era, and winners' medals were handed out to the second-placed teams they beat to those honours, which Liverpool stars would be given a Premier League medal?
Well, there is a group of 21 former Reds stars who could be keeping a close eye on the outcome. Steven Gerrard, perhaps the greatest player to play in the Premier League without winning it, would be among them.

The long-time captain came agonisingly close to guiding his boyhood club to the title in 2014, only for a cruel slip against Chelsea to ultimately end that dream.
Liverpool had gone 24 years without winning the English top-flight at the time, meaning the majority of their squad under Brendan Rodgers that year never ended up winning the league. Jordan Henderson, Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling eventually did, but could see another medal added to their collections.

Nine players who featured in matchday squads during the 2013-14 term might still not be owed a medal. Premier League rules state that any player who makes five or more appearances.
Andre Wisdom, Jordon Ibe, Joao Carlos Teixeira, Brad Smith, Brad Jones, Fabio Borini, Tiago Ilori, Jordan Rossiter and Danny Ward all played a role for the Merseysiders, but didn't meet the five-game threshold.
