Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has this week been nominated for an individal accolade on the international front. This comes amid confirmation that the 19-year-old has been included on the shortlist for Nations League Player of the Round.
Wide-man Lamine is fresh off another spectacular performance in the colours of Spain on Tuesday night. Afforded a starting berth in La Roja’s meeting with Croatia, the youngster proved himself the star of the show.
En route to a 4-1 Spanish triumph, Lamine directly contributed to three of his country’s goals, courtesy of a brace and an assist.
These proved to be the highlight moments of what was another wonderful all-round individual showing on the part of the Barcelona sensation.
And as alluded to above, on Wednesday, such efforts on Lamine’s part have been deservedly recognised.
The attacker has been joined by Mexx Meerdink, Konstantinos Mavropanos and João Félix on the list of candidates for the Nations League Player of the Round award:
