Manchester City have been found guilty on 114 of the 115 charges brought against them following a long-running investigation into alleged breaches of Premier League financial regulations between 2009 and 2018.
Manchester City deny the charges and are set to appeal the verdict.
Klopp's Liverpool side were among City's principal rivals during Pep Guardiola's reign, with the two clubs competing closely for Premier League titles and domestic honours.
The German left Liverpool in 2024 and has since taken charge of the Germany national team.
Asked whether he had considered the possibility of Liverpool being awarded another Premier League title, Klopp said he had heard about the situation but was not dwelling on it.
"[Laughs] Of course I've heard about that, but I haven't given it much thought," he said.
"I can only wait and see."
Klopp also made clear that his respect for Guardiola and City's football had not changed as a result of the verdict.
"I have big respect for Pep Guardiola and City's style of football; they played fantastic football and were a top class opponent for us," he said.
"If any sanctions are handed out, I have nothing to do with it; I'll wait and see."
Klopp stressed that he was not preparing to claim another title and remained satisfied with what Liverpool achieved during his time at Anfield.
"I'm far from preparing for a title or anything like that. I'm absolutely fine with what we've achieved at Liverpool," he said.
"We fought hard on the pitch. I can't say more about that because I don't know the details and I'm not interested in them."
The verdict has opened the possibility of significant sanctions against Manchester City, although the consequences will depend on the outcome of the club's appeal and any subsequent disciplinary process.
For Klopp, however, the focus remains on what Liverpool achieved during his tenure rather than any potential retrospective changes to the record.
His Liverpool side repeatedly pushed Guardiola's City throughout one of the most competitive periods in Premier League history, including a number of title races decided by narrow margins.
Klopp's comments underline that he is leaving any consequences of the verdict to the relevant authorities rather than treating the possibility of retrospective honours as something Liverpool should claim in advance.
