City's main sponsor Etihad have been left furious with the Premier League over the suggestion they are implicated in 'sham' dealings
Despite the ruling, Enzo Maresca's continue to protest their innocence and are planning to lodge an appeal before Friday's deadline.
Fans are now waiting to hear what punishment will be dished their way from the Premier League, which could range from points deductions and fines, to being relegated and having their titles stripped away.
City's rivals are demanding that any possible sanctions come into effect this season on the table-toppers.
They also face being sued for damages by rival clubs, with it understood howManchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurcould seek over £100million each.
Why could City's main sponsor take legal action?
One major finding from the Premier League 40-page document, was that City had been found guilty of inflating their revenue by around £900m through 'sham' contracts with sponsors, which were funded by the club's owners.
And while City's main sponsor Etihad, who have naming rights over their stadium, were not named, they issued a statement on Wednesday night - hitting out at the Premier League for suggesting they are implicated in the inflated sponsorship deals.
After revealing they are considering legal action, City fan Gallagher took to social media in the early hours of Thursday morning to comment on their reaction.
Gallagher outburst comes just days after he leaked the punishments his beloved club would face if they fail in their appeal.

He simply stated: "There’s only 1 ANDY BURNHAM."
Burnham has insisted he would be 'really concerned' if City's owners could sell the club in light of their guilty verdict.
It comes after The Independent Football Regulator stressed once their disciplinary process is over, they have the power to strip the owners of their licence to own the club.
Quick to point out all the good that the Group have done for the city, Burnham, who was theMayor of Greater Manchesterfrom 2017 to 2026, told the BBC: "I would be really concerned to lose them.

“I do actually thank the City Football Group and the wider ownership for the money that they didn’t just put into the Etihad [Stadium] and the campus around it but also into the city.”
Before adding: "I can’t intervene more in the process, it would be wrong for me to do that, it would be wrong, I think, to jump to a conclusion before having really studied all of the detail.
"But obviously it’s ongoing, and because it’s still contested by Manchester City then I think it’s right that I don’t say much more.
“Everton was in this position a few years ago and you might remember that I fought for Everton in that situation.
"I still hold the view very firmly that they weren’t fairly treated in that process.
"I remember people proclaiming Everton guilty at the time and, with hindsight, I think more people would say that wasn’t fair the way that was handled.”
