**Man City left-back Nico O’Reilly has sustained an injury on international duty with England.**
The 21-year-old played the full 90 minutes against Spain last week, but he was left out of the matchday squad for the subsequent Nations League fixture against Czechia.
England boss Thomas Tuchel initially described O’Reilly’s issue as “minor”, but it was confirmed on Thursday afternoon that he has returned to Manchester for treatment.
He will not take part in the remaining matches against Croatia on Saturday and the return fixture versus Czechia on Tuesday night.

The winger did not go away on international duty with Ghana due to an ankle injury.
Semenyo scored a brace and provided an assist in the 5-3 win over Sunderland, and there was no indication that he had picked up a knock, having stayed on for the full 90+minutes.
However, [**speaking last week**](https://mancitynews.com/man-city-injury-news-antoine-semenyo/), Ghana FA president Kurt Okraku said that the forward had a swollen leg, and the decision was made that he’d be better off staying in England, so he could undergo treatment and focus on his recovery:
“Antoine and the coach spoke. He told the coach, ‘If you need me, I will come down for the medical team to re-examine me. But the truth is that my leg is swollen, and we need to treat it’. As a leader, if you want to know your players, and in this particular case, we know the players and how honest they are when it comes to situations like this, you’d have to ask yourself whether you’d allow Antoine to continue with his recovery and be ready for Man City and for Ghana
As things stand, Semenyo has not been pictured back in training, and he is a doubt for City’s next fixture against Liverpool. With the match being 10 days away, there is still time for the 26-year-old to get back to full fitness. Head coach Enzo Maresca will provide another update on the injury next week.
