Mikel Arteta will now be sweating on the fitness of Christos Tzolis ahead of his side's return to action against Leeds United on October 10.
The summer signing was forced off after just 17 minutes for Greece against the Netherlands on Thursday night.
Tzolis had started for his country in Thessaloniki as they looked to continue their winning start in League A.
However, the winger pulled up with an apparent hamstring injury inside the opening 15 minutes.
He was visibly emotional whilst receiving treatment from the medical staff.
Tzolis could be see pulling his shirt over his face as he lay stricken on the turf.
After several minutes of treatment, he was replaced by Giorgos Masouras for the hosts.
Whilst the severity of the injury is not yet known, reports in Greece state Tzolis will be assessed on Friday to determine the full extent of the issue.

In Tzolis' absence, Greece took a first half lead through Fotis Ioannidis before Masouras added a second in stoppage time.
The Dutch later pulled a goal back shortly before the hour mark thanks to Virgil van Dijk's header.

Their comeback was completed in the 89th minute as Tijjani Reijnders snatched a dramatic late equaliser as the match ended level.
Tzolis has been in impressive form for both club and country so far this season.
Following his arrival from Club Brugge, the 24-year-old has provided four assists in eight appearances for Arsenal across all competitions.
Meanwhile, he scored in Greece's 2-1 win over Serbia last week before starting in their victory over Germany on Sunday.
Arsenal's injury woes
His potential injury setback adds to an existing selection headache for Arteta ahead of the Premier League's return.
The Gunners boss is already without long-term absentee William Saliba, who has been ruled out until November with a back issue.

Elsewhere, Kai Havertz is currently being assessed after picking up a hamstring injury in Germany's draw with the Netherlands.
The forward has missed both of his country's matches since against Greece and Serbia.
Cristhian Mosquera, Ben White and Declan Rice are also currently sidelined.
However, the trio have been earmarked to return against Leeds next weekend.
