All associated with La Liga giants Barcelona will be forced to hold their collective breath on Friday. This comes ahead of an imminent round of medical tests and scans for star attacker Raphinha.
Frontman Raphinha for his part set alarm bells ringing in Catalunya’s capital earlier this week.
Afforded a starting berth in Brazil’s friendly meeting with Australia, the 29-year-old was hauled off at the interval with what was later revealed to be a muscular complaint.
Raphinha, in turn, was granted an early departure from national team duty by Carlo Ancelotti. The former Leeds United man touched back down in the city of Barcelona earlier today.
And as alluded to above, on Friday, the Blaugrana will secure a better understanding of exactly what Raphinha’s problem entails. As per a report from club insider Alex Pintanel:
‘Tomorrow, Raphinha will undergo an MRI to confirm the initial diagnosis from Brazil.’
