Liverpool winger Victor Munoz has opened up on his start to life at Anfield and how the Premier League is different from La Liga.

The Reds secured his signature early in the summer transfer window after triggering his release clause at Osasuna. The 23-year-old was linked with a move to Newcastle United at the time, but it was Liverpool that ultimately won the race.

Munoz was signed for a fee in the region of £34 million ($45 million), and he agreed a six-year deal. After winning the World Cup with Spain, he joined up late for preseason but has already made a promising impact on Merseyside.

So far this term, under new head coach Andoni Iraola, Munoz has made six appearances across all competitions. He has registered both a goal and an assist in the Premier League, with his solitary strike coming in the 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest.

Speaking while away on international duty this week with Spain, Munoz has opened up on his start to life at Liverpool. He has also discussed the key differences between La Liga and the Premier League, and why he thinks moving to England has benefited his development.

"I definitely notice differences between LaLiga and the Premier League," Munoz told reporters in a press conference on Thursday. "LaLiga is a lot more tactical.

"The Premier League games are more physical. The intensity in training there is very high, you notice that difference. It's helping me grow."

Although Munoz was part of Spain's World Cup-winning squad, injury concerns limited his game time throughout the tournament. Now he's fit and firing for his club, he has made a return to playing for Spain this international break.

He sat out of the squad for the victory over England but came off the bench in the triumph over Croatia earlier this week. Ahead of the next game against Czechia, Munoz touched on his rapid rise since his breakthrough at Osasuna.

"Everything happening so fast means I don't have time to fully process it," he added. "My family and I try to enjoy every moment... I'm in a good place right now."

Munoz will hope to play a key role for Iraola after the break, starting with the visit of Manchester City to Anfield next weekend, not least because of recent injuries to Cody Gakpo and Alexander Isak.
