It has been suggested that Bayern Munich are keeping an eye on Erling Haaland amid the charges facing Manchester City, but Bild journalist Christian Falk insists the German champions are focusing fully on contract talks with Harry Kane.

Recent reports have suggested that Bayern Munich are monitoring Erland Haaland's situation with a view to potentially making a move for Norwegian star if he should become available as a result of the ongoing disciplinary case between the Premier League and Manchester City.
According to Bild’s head of football, Christian Falk, however, Bayern’s focus is not on Haaland but on finalising talks with Harry Kane over a contract extension beyond 2027.
If Bayern – as expected – get a new deal for Kane wrapped up, they will continue to have one of the world’s best strikers already occupying Haaland’s position.
In addition, even if Haaland should become available on a free transfer as a result of the charges against Manchester City, Bayern would have to pay a huge signing-on fee and offer enormous wages.
Haaland is currently earning around €35 million per year, according to Falk, which is in a range that Bayern do not usually operate in.
“At the moment, Bayern are looking at the situation – and they do admire Erling Haaland (as every club in Europe does) – but they’re so happy with Harry Kane that there’s simply no space, on the one hand on the pitch, and on the other hand, on the wage bill,” Falk concluded in a post on his website, cfbayerninsider.com.
