Arsenal winger Christos Tzolis recently suffered an injury on international duty, meaning Mikel Arteta might need to find a new solution.

The Gunners were seemingly in the market for a high-profile winger in the summer transfer window, being heavily linked with a move to sign Real Madrid's Vinicius JR.

Arsenal failed to get one over the line, with Tzolis the only forward addition to arrive through the door at the Emirates Stadium.

As a result, Arteta is going to have to find alternative solutions on the left-hand side of attack, after Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard both departed in the summer.

Eberechi Eze is an option for Arteta, but the former Crystal Palace man has struggled to make an impact on the left-hand side during his time at Arsenal.

According to reports, Tzolis is set to return to Arsenal after suffering an injury during the international break with Greece. Tzolis will return for assessment after suffering a suspected hamstring injury during Greece's 2-2 draw against the Netherlands in the Nations League on Thursday.

Tzolis has started every game in the Premier League so far this season, so Arteta has a decision to make when it comes to the left-hand side of attack.

Eze has been tried and tested there, but it's safe to say it's not worked out for him in that position so far.

Arteta needs to try something different if Tzolis is going to be ruled out for the next few weeks, although it remains to be seen how long he's going to be out for.

Over the last few games, Bukayo Saka has struggled to replicate the form he's produced over the last few years.

Saka was disappointing for England in their first two games of the international break, and he's yet to provide an assist in the Premier League this season.

The England international has scored just two non-penalty goals for the Gunners this season, and there's no doubt Arteta will be demanding more from him.

If Tzolis is out injured, Arteta needs to find a solution, and deploying Saka on the left-hand side temporarily could be the answer.

If Saka was producing ridiculous numbers on the right, then it might not make a lot of sense, but it could also allow Arteta to get either Max Dowman or Noni Madueke in the team.

Arsenal need to bounce back from a disappointing 3-0 defeat against Brighton, so trying something new could be the risk they need to take.
