Arsenal handed worrying Christos Tzolis injury update after winger picked up knock while on international duty: Reports

Arsenal have been handed a worrying injury update on Christos Tzolis after the winger picked up a knock in Greece's recent UEFA Nations League clash against the Netherlands.

The 24-year-old winger was forced off the pitch after 18 minutes, after feeling tightness in the back of his right thigh during Greece's 2-2 draw against the Dutch national team at Thessaloniki. The winger wanted to continue playing, but Greece head coach Ivan Jovanovic took him off the pitch as a precaution.

Tzolis has since been released from the Greece squad and is due to travel back to London and link up with Arsenal. According to Metro UK, the winger underwent an initial scan earlier today, and the initial diagnosis indicates that the player will be out of action for two to three weeks. Arsenal are set to conduct further tests to determine the extent of Tzolis' injury.

Mikel Arteta's side will be in a tight spot if Tzolis is set to be out of action for three weeks. It would mean the Greek winger would be unavailable for the Gunners' upcoming Premier League clash against Leeds on October 10th. It would also mean Tzolis would miss two UEFA Champions League games against Bayern Munich and Lille.

The Gunners are slightly short of numbers in the left wing slot. After selling Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, and failing to land top summer target Vinicius Jr., Tzolis is the club's only natural left winger.

They have players like Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze who can deputize in the left wing spot, but not having a natural winger could hinder the Gunners' style of play.

Arsenal are currently in second place in the Premier League table on 12 points with 4 wins out of 5 games. They are three points off league leaders Manchester City, who are unbeaten in the league so far.

Arsenal keen on signing Real Madrid star struggling for game time in January: Reports

The Gunners are reportedly interested in signing Endrick from Real Madrid in the January transfer window. Endrick was expected to leave Real Madrid in the summer transfer window after a successful loan spell at Lyon in the previous term.

The player decided to stay and impress new manager Jose Mourinho. Things haven't gone to plan for the Brazilian as he has barely featured for Los Blancos this season. According to AS (via Just Arsenal), Endrick could be on his way out of Madrid in January, and this could give the Gunners a chance to sign the player.
