Juventus still considering Alisson ahead of 2027

Alisson Becker could become one of the most attractive free-agent options on the market next summer, with his Liverpool contract due to expire in June 2027.

The Brazil international remains a key figure at Anfield and was named one of Liverpool’s vice-captains for the 2026/27 season. He has started every match in the Premier League and Champions League so far, highlighting his continued importance to the team.

However, his contract situation could attract interest from elsewhere, with Juventus reportedly monitoring his situation.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus officials Giovanni Carnevali, Ricky Massara and Marco Ottolini are already assessing potential targets for 2027, with Alisson among the names under consideration.

The report claims Massara and Luciano Spalletti know the goalkeeper well from their time at AS Roma, while Juventus have previously explored bringing him back to Serie A.

However, Tuttosport suggests Alisson would need to accept a lower salary than his current Liverpool wages for a move to become realistic. The Bianconeri were interested in him during the summer, while their goalkeeping situation has since worsened.

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Kamil Grabara is expected to miss six to seven months after undergoing cruciate ligament surgery, while ex-Barcelona and Bournemouth shot-stopper Neto has arrived as an emergency free agent.

At 34, Alisson offers a different option to younger goalkeeping targets, but his experience and proven quality remain appealing. Any move to Juventus would depend heavily on Liverpool’s plans.

Liverpool have the option to offer Alisson a new contract, but they have also signed goalkeepers who could be ready to take over next season. As a result, this could be Alisson’s final season at the club.

Liverpool already have Giorgi Mamardashvili and continue sign younger goalkeepers, having secured the services of Lucca Brughmans from KRC Genk.

Brughmans signed a long-term contract with the Reds at the AXA Training Centre. The 18-year-old will remain with the Belgian top-flight side for the rest of the 2026-27 season.

For now, Juventus’ interest appears exploratory rather than advanced. However, unless Liverpool extend Alisson’s contract beyond 2027, speculation over a return to Italy could intensify.
