Rio Ngumoha's status as one of Europe's most promising talents has been cemented following his breakthrough at Liverpool. The recently turned 18-year-old has been listed among the most valuable teenagers in Europe.

That's according to the latest valuations charting the worth of the continent's best and brightest aged 19 or under. Teenage footballers are commanding increasingly high valuations as Europe's leading clubs invest record sums in emerging talent.

At the top end of the market, those estimates now run into hundreds of millions of pounds. The ECHO has put together a list of the 19 most valuable teenagers in Europe via the CIES Football Observatory.

CIES takes into account factors such as age, position, remaining contract length and quality to establish their overall transfer value. Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal leads the way, having established himself as one of the outstanding players of his generation.

His emergence at the Catalan club echoes that of Lionel Messi, although the teenager is building a reputation of his own. CIES values Yamal, the 2025 Ballon d'Or runner-up, at £323m.

That puts him well clear of Barcelona team-mate Pau Cubarsi, whose £153m valuation is the second-highest among teenagers playing in Europe and less than half Yamal's figure.

The Premier League stands out as the most heavily represented division among those 19 players. Chelsea winger Estevao leads the way amongst those eight young talents with an estimated market value of £103million, placing him third on the list.

Part of that valuation is likely attributable to the fact that the Brazilian still has seven years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge. A player becomes considerably more attainable the closer they edge towards the expiry of their deal.

According to CIES, Real Madrid paid roughly the precise market rate to secure former Liverpool target Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig this summer. He features fourth on the list with a valuation of £102.7m, while Bayern Munich playmaker Lennart Karl rounds out the top five at £102.2m.

The third and final Barca representative to feature is midfielder Marc Bernal at £78.2m. That places him just ahead of Ayyoub Bouaddi, who is reportedly worth £77.6m despite Manchester City paying £86m to lure him away from Lille this summer.

Real Madrid attacker Franco Mastantuono, currently on loan at Fiorentina, sits eighth with a valuation of £65m, having nearly doubled his worth since joining from River Plate in 2025.

Aston Villa's Ibrahim Mbaye (£63.1m) is ninth, having arrived from PSG in the summer for £47m. Rounding off the top 10, Brighton parted with a club-record £46m to bring in Luka Vuskovic from Tottenham this summer and may well be delighted, given he's valued at £60.6m.

As for Ngumoha, after breaking through last season, he is going from strength to strength, having recently made his senior England debut. He sits 11th on the list with a value of £53.6m.
