Lower Breck FC have officially confirmed the arrival of two new additions, with the club welcoming a pair of players who both have links to Liverpool.
The Liverpool-based side announced the double signing on social media, revealing that both players will now continue their footballing journeys with Lower Breck after making moves away from their previous clubs.
The first announcement saw the club confirm the arrival of a player who spent a significant period with Liverpool before departing the Reds during the summer.
Lower Breck described the new arrival as someone who “still has a lot to offer the game higher up the pyramid”, while explaining that he has joined the club with the aim of enjoying his football and taking things a little easier.
That player is Terence Miles, who brings considerable experience from his time within Liverpool’s setup after spending 14 years with the club.
Despite his long association with the Reds, Miles has now opted for a new challenge with Lower Breck, with the club believing he can continue to make an impact on the pitch.
Lower Breck subsequently confirmed another new arrival in Jacob Poytress, who joins the club following a spell with Bury FC.
The club revealed that Poytress has also previously spent time at Liverpool before moving on during the summer, meaning Lower Breck have added two players with connections to the Reds.
Both additions represent another opportunity for the players to continue their careers after their respective departures, with Lower Breck providing them with a fresh environment to enjoy their football.
For Miles in particular, the move brings an end to a remarkable 14-year association with Liverpool, while Poytress will now look to build on his time at Bury after also previously being part of the Reds’ setup.
Lower Breck will hope the pair can make an immediate impact as they continue to strengthen their squad.
