Jürgen Klopp got his first win as Germany coach against Serbia thanks to goals from Tom Bischof and Florian Wirtz. That win provided a much-needed boost for the national team after Klopp stumbled to a draw and loss in his first two games.
Die Mannschaft travels to Thessaloniki to play Greece in the reverse fixture. The Pirate Ship is remarkably top of the Nations League group, ahead of the Netherlands and Germany. This match will be the final match of the international break before the resumption of the normal season, with yet another international break coming in mid-November.

Team news
Here’s what we think the team will look like against Greece:
IN: Finn Dahmen, Finn Jeltsch, Said El Mala, Lennart Karl
OUT: Jonas Urbig, Malick Thiaw, Serge Gnabry, Nick Woltemade
Three things to know:
Greece inflicted Germany’s second defeat of 2026 in the previous fixture, a 1-0 loss in Augsburg.
Serge Gnabry will be returning to Munich after he has exited the National Team, presumably for load management purposes.
Christos Tzolis, who plays for Arsenal, is unlikely to feature for Greece in this match owing to a thigh injury he sustained.
Prediction
Germany wins 2-0. The young Germans will have a spring in their step from the win against Serbia. Derry Scherhant will continue to impress and score a goal before Jonathan Burkardt adds another goal late into the game to get another win for Jürgen Klopp. The goals will be assisted by Florian Wirtz and Tom Bischof.
