Liverpool have had some of their most successful seasons in recent years, with some of their best-ever players donning the famous red shirts. Those glory days included Premier League and Champions League titles, as well as several domestic cups. But with Jurgen Klopp having left, as well as some of the favourites of the Kop, there has been plenty of turnover in the squad. As such, Express Sport have taken a look through the archives at all of the players who have left Anfield in the last few transfer windows.
One of the first big names to depart Liverpool, Sadio Mane joined Bayern Munich. He spent just one year in Bavaria before heading to Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, where he’s remained since 2023.
A product of the Liverpool academy, Neco Williams took the jump to join Nottingham Forest following their promotion to the Premier League. He’s established himself as the starting right-back for Forest.

Dubbed as the next big thing, Sheyi Ojo eventually joined Cardiff City after a series of loan spells. He’s since played for Maribor (Slovenia) and Aktobe (Kazakhstan).

By the time the 2023/24 summer transfer window rolled around, the Saudi exodus was in full swing. Fabinho was the most high-profile exit, with the Brazilian midfielder joined Al-Ittihad as part of a bumper deal. He has since joined Trabzonspor - more on them later…

The midfielder left Liverpool for Werder Bremen, but Naby Keita’s time with the German club ended in disaster. He later signed for Ferencvaros, initially on loan and then on a permanent deal at a later date.
Now the record holder for the most Premier League appearances, James Milner left Liverpool for Brighton, which is where he remained until last season.
Another Saudi exit, but this time a free transfer. Roberto Firmino was one of the best success stories in the Saudi Pro League, scoring 21 goals in 65 matches. He then joined Al Sadd in Qatar last year.

Much like Thiago Alcantara, who also hung up his boots in 2024.
