Verdict: Everton star gets it totally wrong after teammate snub for Jamie Carragher favourite

Rio Ngumoha in action for Liverpool and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall playing for Everton.

The attacking midfielder has become a fan favourite at Hill Dickinson for his hard work and quality in the final third.

David Moyes has heaped praise on the 27-year-old since he joined from Chelsea last year, as he continues to play a starring role for the Toffees.

Dewsbury-Hall has played in each of the Blues' five Premier League games so far this season, and it doesn't look like he's coming out of the team anytime soon.

However, there are always certain things that shouldn't be said from an Everton perspective when it comes to Liverpool.

Dewsbury-Hall may have just slipped up for the first time after what he said about Ngumoha.

Dewsbury-Hall has not yet reached his prime, which is an exciting prospect for Everton fans.

The Englishman has gone from strength to strength under Moyes, and will be hoping to make stronger connections in the final third with the likes of Jack Grealish and Thierno Barry this season.

The relationship with the midfield behind him is also important, but Harrison Armstrong may give his teammate the side-eye next time they cross paths at Finch Farm.

That's because Dewsbury-Hall chose Ngumoha as a player who will reach the top, instead of picking Armstrong.

Liverpool fans rate the winger the same way Everton supporters talk about Armstrong.

Jamie Carragher adores the 18-year-old as a player and previously said, as quoted by Sky Sports: "You can't stop that lad in a one-on-one."

The ex-Liverpool centre-back thinks Ngumoha is "absolutely brilliant", and clearly, so does Dewsbury-Hall.

His mind should have instantly been on Armstrong after being asked which talent will make it to the top.

Why Dewsbury-Hall's Everton position is not at risk

Dewsbury-Hall is an important cog in an Everton attack that can sometimes underperform and overperform.

Though the Toffees have not seen too much discouragement from the frontline so far, there may be spells when Barry is fatigued, which could harm Dewsbury-Hall's output.

Even if the attacking midfielder goes out of form himself, who would Moyes drop him for?

Carlos Alcaraz is not going to start ahead of him, especially with Fenerbahce being linked with interest now.

There was no real intention from Everton to sign another number 10 in the summer either, so Dewsbury-Hall can enjoy the pressure of performing for the Toffees for now.
