Darts fans sing savage five-word chant about Manchester City charges during World Grand Prix
It was the World Grand Prix semi-finals last night, with Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price coming out on top in their respective clashes against James Wade and Nathan Aspinall.
Tonight is the final and will be the fourth year in a row that Humphries has made it to the climax of this event. It's a record-breaking achievement for the 31-year-old, but that record will mean nothing to him if he doesn't walk away with the win this evening, something he's only done once before.
Looking at their semi-final performances, it looks like the Englishman may have the upper hand currently, with the Welshman not putting in the most astounding performance last night despite his victory. What will ease Price's mind, however, is the thought of Humphries' less-than-desirable run in recent years during the final of this event, with only one win in 2023 for Cool Hand.
If you thought that we were only going to be discussing the action on the stage from last night, then you would be wrong, as everyone knows the action in the crowd at any darts event always provides some entertainment.
Manchester City Targeted By Darts Fans

There were signs galore last night highlighting all different matters, but the one that tickled us the most was somebody taking a jab at Manchester City for their recent troubles involving their cheating scandal.
Shown briefly on the cameras, one person decided to wave in the air, 'City you require 115.'
The football and darts crossover that no one expected didn't stop there, though, with fans in the crowd chanting: "Same old City, always cheating."
Having broken over 100 Premier League financial rules spanning across nearly 10 years, it's no wonder people are angry with the club.
Maybe the World Grand Prix isn't exactly where you would think these matters were going to be discussed, but as previously mentioned, the crowds at the darts don't seem to shy away from much.
As of now, there is no news on what Manchester City's sanctions will be, with the words fines, points deductions, transfer bans, and expulsion being floated about.

Any of these sanctions would be detrimental to City, but if there are no major sanctions at all, then that could be detrimental to the Premier League itself, with fans not sounding like they would be very lenient with City and want proper repercussions for their actions in place.
Consequences for City's actions are highly anticipated, and it's very possible that the chant that was sung last night in the Mattioli Arena in Leicester will be heard once again, sung loud and proud tonight.
