Former England star Theo Walcott believes Arsenal's weakness in the Premier League title race is the left wing. He claims that Christos Tzolis is not the best replacement for Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli.

Speaking on talkSPORT Drive, Walcott said he was not impressed with Tzolis and is not sure the winger is good enough to start. He admitted the youngster might be good in training, but has not shown it on the pitch so far. He said:

"They remain a little vulnerable away from home. I like Tzolis, but from what I’ve seen away from home, I haven’t been as impressed. It’s difficult to really shine away from home. You can have those players that are great at home or great at training, but can’t [do it] away when it really matters. Don’t play him, play someone else, play someone who is going to work for the team or do something different." (via Metro)

Walcott also believes that the Gunners will focus on the UEFA Champions League this season, after missing out on it last season. He added:

"I think they are exceptional and I do feel they’ve got everything to retain it. But it’s not going to be easy, because they’ll want to win the Champions League."

Arsenal are second in the Premier League table after losing to Brighton & Hove Albion in the match before the international break. They trail Manchester City, who have started with five wins in their first five games, by three points.

Manchester United were backed to challenge Arsenal for Premier League title

Former Arsenal striker Jeremie Aliadiere claimed that Manchester United were going to be one of the sides pushing the Gunners for the Premier League title. He believes that their run at the end of the previous season showed their potential and said:

"I would actually say Manchester United. Finishing the season well under Carrick, he brings a fresh approach to Man Utd, and they can continue to build on how they performed once Carrick came in. They are sure to be a big threat to Arsenal this season and can push them all the way. But not only Man Utd will challenge, as I expect Man City to be close as well, with Liverpool and Chelsea as well looking to be really competitive next season.” (via FlashScore)

However, Manchester United have not made the best possible start to the season, winning just one of their opening five matches.
