When is Jayden Daniels coming back? Injury update, return timeline for Commanders QB image
The Washington Commanders have yet another injury at the quarterback position, which has fans wondering when Jayden Daniels might be back.
Just a few weeks after Daniels suffered his latest dislocated elbow, backup signal-caller Marcus Mariota got hurt in Week 4 against the Indianapolis Colts.
Mariota got hurt in the first quarter after getting his leg trapped under a player. As of this writing, he is questionable to return with a knee injury and is back in the locker room.
So, when is Daniels going to be back? Here's what we know.
When is Jayden Daniels coming back?
According to The Athletic's Jonathan Jones, there is optimism that Daniels might be back in Week 5.
"Daniels was ruled out for Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, the second straight game he’ll miss with a dislocated left elbow. But after traveling with the team to London and practicing in a limited capacity with a brace, Daniels has his sights set on returning as early as Oct. 11, at home against the Giants," he said.
"Sources in Washington believe that if he has a full week of practice next week, that is a positive indication Daniels will be ready to get back behind center after suffering the gruesome injury in Week 2 against the Cowboys," Jones added.
If Daniels isn't able to return next week and Mariota is forced to miss time, rookie Athan Kaliakmanis will take the reins of the offense.
