NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Champions Square will open at 4 p.m. Monday for the New Orleans Saints’ Domecoming Anniversary game against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Monday Night Football match up features expanded gameday entertainment and interactive fan experiences. Aside from an NFC South rivalry match, the game also marks the 20th anniversary of the Superdome’s reopening.

Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m.

Second line march and Key to the City

Steve Gleason will lead a second line of fans through downtown New Orleans. Fans will gather at Lafayette Square at 3 p.m. Monday and march to Champions Square. Mayor Helena Moreno plans to award Gleason the Key to the City.

Fans will hear his new album, “Rebirth,” alongside Marc Broussard and other special guests at Champions Square.

At the dome

-----------

The Superdome follows strict NFL “All Clear” bag policies. Non-clear bags larger than a small clutch will be turned away at the door, and there is no on-site bag check available.

Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags up to 12″ x 6″ x 12″ are permitted.

Exceptions include medically necessary items and clear diaper bags, after passing through specific security inspections.

Team officials say all Caesars Superdome garages (Garages 1, 2, 5, 6, and Champions Garage) are 100% digital and parking passes must be managed from your mobile phone.

The New Orleans Police Department enforces regular parking restrictions and street closures around gametime. Officers say drivers who do not abide by posted parking signs will be ticketed or towed.

Gameday entertainment

---------------------

The Saints Cheer Krewe will perform at 4:35 p.m., followed by a fan line dance tutorial in Champions Square.

Irma Thomas, known as the “Soul Queen of New Orleans,” and rising talent River Eckert are set to perform the national anthem ahead of the game.

Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue will headline the halftime show. Featured guests include Eric Church, Kirk Franklin, Juvenile, Cyril Neville and Ivan Neville.

The Saints also plan to recognize several returning members of the 2006 squad throughout the night, including Steve Gleason and Curtis Deloatch. Gleason blocked a punt on the first possession 20 years ago that Deloatch recovered for a touchdown.

Gleason was diagnosed with ALS in 2011 and later founded Team Gleason. The organization has provided more than $65 million in services, according to the foundation’s website.

Team Gleason will serve as the beneficiary of the game’s 50/50 raffle.
