Cowboys' Dak Prescott Reveals Update After Injury Scare 1
October 4, 2026 Featured, Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys and star quarterback Dak Prescott faced a strong test from the Houston Texans on Sunday afternoon. When all was said and done, the Cowboys were able to pull out the win after Prescott found CeeDee Lamb for a 12-yard touchdown pass with just 40 seconds remaining.
At the final whistle, the final score was in Dallas’ favor at 34-30.
With the win, the Cowboys moved to 2-2 on the season. Prescott put up big passing numbers in the win. He completed 32 of his 45 pass attempts for 335 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions.
Following the game, Prescott was seen with a wrap on his throwing hand. That caused a scare for fans. Prescott took time to address the injury in his post-game press conference.

Cowboys’ Dak Prescott Provides Update About His Hand Injury
As shared by The Athletic’s Jon Machota, Prescott downplayed the injury. He helped ease the minds of fans with his comments.
“Dak Prescott has a cut on the back of his throwing hand during today’s game,” Machota wrote on X. “His hand got stepped on. He downplayed the bandage, saying the wrap was just to keep down any potential swelling.”
So far this season, the Dallas offense has lived up to the hype. Prescott entered Week 4 action with 730 passing yards, seven touchdowns, and just one interception.
Unfortunately, the defensive side of the ball has been a problem. Christian Parker has not been able to fix the issues that plagued the team a year ago. That could end up being the Cowboys’ undoing at the end of the season if the problems are not corrected.
All of that being said, the win over the Texans was a big one. There were moments where it looked like Dallas would drop to 1-3.
Next week, the Cowboys will face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home. Baker Mayfield will not be playing in that game, which will give Dallas a good chance to get over .500.
