Kirk Cousins, Las Vegas Raiders
Raiders Receive Strong Words From NFL Legend JJ Watt 1
The Las Vegas Raiders entered their Week 4 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs with a chance to make a statement. After leading heading into halftime, the team came up just short against Patrick Mahomes and company.
When the final whistle blew, the Raiders trailed the Chiefs on the scoreboard 30-27.
Losing the game was disappointing. However, it did show that Las Vegas is more than capable of competing with Kansas City. The Raiders appear to be back in the AFC West.
Following the loss, Las Vegas dropped to 3-1 on the season. For Kirk Cousins and the rest of the Raiders, it was still a confidence boosting loss.
With that being said, NFL legend JJ Watt spoke out about Las Vegas following the game. He shared some strong words about the current state of the team.

JJ Watt Doesn’t Hold Back About the Las Vegas Raiders
Even in a loss, Watt saw what he needed to see. He boldly stated that the Raiders are for real.
“Yes, [the Raiders] are a REAL DEAL team,” Watt said.
Cousins has rejuvenated his career in Las Vegas this season. Against the Chiefs, he completed 31 of his 52 pass attempts for 365 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. Brock Bowers led the way in receiving with six catches for 86 yards and a score.
Defensively, the Raiders didn’t do quite enough to get the win. But, they were able to make things difficult on Mahomes and Kansas City’s offense.
It’s hard to come away from a loss feeling good. Las Vegas almost certainly feels like it let a win slip away. Despite that rough feeling, the Raiders made the statement they needed to make.
While it’s too early to know whether or not Las Vegas can continue this play for the remainder of the year, the team has done enough to prove that it deserves attention. If the Raiders continue playing the way they have so far this season, they could be a legitimate playoff caliber team at the end of the regular season.
