Max Dowman hasn’t played a big part at Arsenal so far this season.
The teenager has only been given 99 minutes of senior football by Mikel Arteta, 90 of which came in the Carabao Cup clash against Ipswich Town. He scored twice in that game.
Dowman’s role was expected to be just that: Get regular minutes in the cup games while barely featuring in the Premier League and Champions League fixtures.
However, that could now change in the coming weeks.

Max Dowman could suddenly play more at Arsenal
Several Arsenal players have performed brilliantly during this international break, but a couple of them have suffered injuries too.
Kai Havertz hurt his hamstring while playing for Germany a few weeks ago, while Christos Tzolis has a problem too and has returned to North London for tests.
Viktor Gyokeres will replace Havertz up top, but Tzolis is Arsenal’s only natural left winger. Eberechi Eze has been his backup, but we all know that is not his natural position. His lack of pace out wide is a problem.

For that reason, there have been suggestions that Noni Madueke will be moved to the left wing, and that could be a decent solution in games where speed and directness are required.
If that happens, Bukayo Saka will become Arsenal’s only senior right winger. That would then open the door for Max Dowman to get more minutes.
Arsenal play nine games in the next 28 days, and Saka cannot play every single minute of those fixtures, especially as there is another international break right after.
The Gunners’ number seven will need to be managed carefully, which is why we expect Dowman’s role to go from being a squad player to an important backup in the first team.
Having seen his performance against Ipswich very recently, we think the teenager is more than ready to step in and do a job in the Premier League and Champions League this season.
